There is an old riddle about frogs that I want to share with you.
It goes:
There are 5 frogs sitting on a lily pad.
1 decides to jump off.
How many are left?
4, right?
No!
The correct answer is 5, because the frog has only thought about jumping off the lily pad and hasn’t actually done it yet. He has only decided that jumping is something that he needs to do without taking action. Because of this, he is still in exactly the same situation as the other frogs despite his decision.
